Wholesale computer parts can save you money. Wholesale computer parts can get you what you want quickly and conveniently. Wholesale computer parts are widely available and well-priced.

But…

Wholesale computer parts can sometimes not live up to expectations. Wholesale computer parts are provided by dealers with less than perfect service. Wholesale computer parts are inconvenient to return.

So you’d like to upgrade your computer as cheaply as possible and would like to do so from the convenience of home. Well, there are a few things to bear in mind.

When dealing with online retailers you are dealing with a market that is very competitive. There are a few retailers out there and they are fighting each other for your business. This means that prices will be very good all around. You will often not save much be getting wholesale computer parts from one retailer and not another.

I personally recommend tigerdirect as they have a wide range of products and there service is good.

Browse around their site and carefully choose the products you want. It should be clear if there is no stock available, sometimes they will contact you after your order to tell you they are out of something. Once you have made your order, check again that it is all right and contact them if you have to make any changes, anything sent back will require further postage charges, negating any savings you have made.

OEM parts are a another way to get good prices. Let me clear up some misconceptions about OEM products. They are not retail products and are often missing things like boxes (they might have some other nondescript replacement instead), they will often be missing cables and other little extras. Bear these in mind and don’t get caught out by not ordering the necessary extras that you will need. Retailers are usually quite clear about what you will get, don’t assume anything extra.

Make sure you know what you are getting. Take any saleperson’s opinion or online descriptions opinions to heart, but do your own investigating. Searching for online reviews are an easy way to assess the quality of popular items, especially if they are a little older.

Getting wholesale computer parts can save you money and you can reduce the potential headache by just following these steps.

Computer parts are the heart of a modern personal computer. Computer parts make your system breath. The wrong computer parts make your life frustrating. The right computer parts make your computer a life-long friend. Being able to choose computer parts are what make Personal Computers so great. This is a distinct advantage over many other electronics and other computers like Apples, in that all the computer parts can be chosen, switched, upgraded and changed to suit the kind of tasks you want to perform with your computer.

Although you may buy a computer pre-assembled, it is really just a manufacturers choice of computer parts bundled into a case to make it look snappy, and with their logos. But the computer parts that it is made of can be bought seperately from any computer parts wholesaler online.

I, personally, would sum up computer parts as those parts that would be essential for a computer to function and includes basically all the stuff inside the computer case.

Those computer parts include the computer case, computer processor, motherboard, power supply, fans and cooling fins, hard drives, optical drives, floppy drives, cables, any cards you could put into your computer and the case itself.

These computer parts make up almost everything.

Choosing the right computer parts can make the difference between a frustrating experience and the situation where you hardly notice your computer at all, because it does everything you want, just like it should.

A computer processor should never be the fastest available, there is just no value for money there. It should not be so old as to make you pull your hair out waiting while its “thinking.” If you do need the fastest then take the plunge, but for almost all everyday tasks, my AMD Athlon 800MHz still does the trick, and costs almost nothing compared to the latest processors. Considering dual-core? This new technology offers very little benefits for you everyday office computing experience because your software isn’t designed for it, give it a few years if you’re patient.

The motherboard is the link between all the other computer parts in the computer and should have as much built-in as possible. Computer parts such as network capabilities and sound should be built-in, unless you are a producer of some kind. I chose my motherboard because of its SATA RAID options, making it a little more expensive, but offering protection from data loss, in case of a hard drive failure.

Memory is one of the computer parts that yields great speed returns for you dollar. With power hungry Vista needing over 1GB of memory to perform well, you will have vast improvements with a little more memory than the premium of a slightly faster processor.

Your computer power supply pumps life into your system, it should be reliable and stable. The no-name brand you might find in a pre-built system gives the computer better value, but its just a matter of time before it gives up the ghost.

Make the right choice in choosing your computer parts, browse around and use our search and get to know about the computer parts you are choosing.

Getting cheap computer parts involves a bit of detective work. The best cheap computer parts do their job well, but without a heavy price tag. A bonus is that the pricey computer parts of a year of two ago become the cheap computer parts of today and do a superb job. So lets dig deeper into what you need to keep in mind when shopping for cheap computer parts.

Your computer is made up of many seperate parts that are connected together to form the entire computer. It is possible to change and upgrade almost every part of the computer when the need arises, or simply when you feel like it is time to change.

To give you a quick outline of the different parts that you can change and tips on how to choose the new parts you are going to change them with have a look through the links below.

Your computer’s parts

Start here for a listing of the parts that are in your computer and how to choose the correct new parts.

The monitor

This is where you see everything. LCD monitors have come down in price so much that they are definitel worth it. They last a really long time and free up space on your computer table at home. The one above is less than $200.

The Central Processing Unit

This is the “brain” of the computer and does the complex math that is needed when running the computer. Speeds in processor are changing at rapid speeds, but the best value is really on the cheapest ones. The one pictured above is a Pentium 4 520 3.0GHz, it’s about the slowest P4 you can get on it’s own.

The motherboard

The motherboard sits inside the computer and puts everything together. All new components either get connected to it directly of via cables. The motherboard’s function is central to the computer. Making sure as many new features are included will mean a long time until an upgrade is needed. The one pictured above costs less than $150 and comes with a processor and memory.

The hard disk

The hard disk is where all your information is stored. This is the place where you save the stuff you do, and it’s also the place where you programs are kept, as well as your operating system. It’s speed can make a big difference as it is the first place all the data comes from. The biggest differences can be seem when dealing with big files like movies and video editing. The drive above is only about 50 bucks, has 40GB of space and supports the latest SATA-150 which allows super fast data transfer.

The system memory

The onboard memory is like a fast holding store between your hard disk and the CPU. It is much faster than the hard disk, but more expensive. Commonly accessed files and programs that are currently running on the computer are stored here. This is the hottest component for upgrading as it makes a huge difference to the overall performance of your computer without too much cost. The DDR memory shown above costs around 60 bucks and will support 400MHz bus speed and has 512MB, the least I really recommend for a computer.

The CD drive

CDs are a good form of long term permanent data storage. Computers have been using these for ages. CD-writer have become so cheap in fact, that the one above costs only $5 more than some plain CD drives that can’t write CDs.

DVD drive

DVDs are a much newer form of data storage, they can hold much more data than CDs, most movies that are released are in a DVD format. DVD writers have come down to prices where they are really affordable. Extremely good for long term storage of home movies and backing up of lots of data. The one above costs less than $40 and can write all the different DVD formats.

The case

The case is the box that everything is held in. Cases vary, but at the bottom end are very similar in function. Upper end, expensive cases will have various extras that help a very powerful computer perform at it’s peak. The Aspire X-Navigator case features a big 500 watt power supply and is one of the coolest mod computer cases. It’s also a very unique computer case.

How to put it all together

After browsing through the links above you should have a very good idea about what you actually need in your next computer.

Always remember that a computer needs to serve a function. Making it fit the function you want it for will make using the computer that much more pleasurable, and save you time and money.

Computer components are in hot demand. With more people doing their own computer upgrades, computer components are in abundance. For this article, computer components will refer to the main parts of the computer, that is to say the computer components that you would find inside the box of almost any desktop computer. There is a seperate page for computer accessories that outline extras that are quite often optional.

Computer monitor
One of the major computer components, sometimes referred to as the computer screen.

Motherboard
This is the big board inside the computer case. You can find out more about what this computer component does by browsing our motherboard articles.

Computer Case
This is the box that holds everything in. Although its very difficult to go wrong in a general sense, there are options that make a large difference to your system.

Keyboard
You use this to input information into the computer. Of all the computer components this might be the one used most often in everyday use.

DVD drive
For playing your favorite movies on your computer and for storing tons of information.

Graphics card
These are some of the most expensive computer components because of their complexity and massive number crunching power. The GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) on many modern graphics or video cards are more powerful than some computer processors.

Central Processing Unit (CPU)
The computer’s brain and completely essential to the functioning of the computer.

Hard drives
Hard drives can often be the most frustrating of computer components. They store all your information and it is essential that they are reliable, as well as being fairly fast so you don’t have to wait forever for your programs to load.

That is a breakdown of some of the computer components that you would come across on a daily basis. The list of computer accessories is much longer as there are tons of other things that can be added onto the computer.
